Maria I. Gonzales, LCSW, IBH Clinical Director
Maria received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from New Mexico State University in 2011. Her training includes counseling services to individuals and families in a variety of settings. In June of 2014, she joined La Clinica de Familia’s team and embarked on the journey of integrating behavioral health services into primary care with the goal to make behavioral health services accessible to the community. She is currently the Integrated Behavioral Health clinical supervisor and provides direct patient care at the OB/GYN clinic. Maria’s goal is to continue to provide safe and compassionate care to patients as well as reducing mental health stigma and increasing patients’ access to behavioral health services.

Vittorio S. Taleon, MD
Vittorio S. Taleon, MD is a Board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist and currently at our Las Cruces/Women’s Health Clinic. Dr. Taleon completed his OB-GYN residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York, New York. He is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He has been in active practice since 1993. He was in the Maryland and Washington DC areas for 15 years prior to relocating to New Mexico in 2008. Dr. Taleon speaks English, Spanish and Tagalog.

Stephanie Peace, MD
Stephanie Peace, MD is an OB/GYN physician. She received her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Harvard University and her medical degree from University of Missouri-Columbia. She completed her residency in OB/GYN at University of Wisconsin-Madison. Stephanie has been with La Clinica de Familia since September 2021.

Dara Som, MD, MPH
Dara Som, MD, MPH is an OB/GYN physician. She completed graduate training at the University of California at Berkeley, then later completed her medical degree at the University of Arizona in Tucson. She completed her OB/GYN residency at the University of Tennessee in Nashville. She is fluent in English and moderately proficient in medical Spanish.
