Stephanie Peace, MD
Stephanie Peace is an OB/GYN physician. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Harvard University and her medical degree from University of Missouri-Columbia. She completed her residency in OB/GYN at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has been with La Clinica de Familia since 2021. Her favorite part about La Clinica is the people: “I love being with women through every stage of life, in the joyful moments and the hard moments, and empowering women in their own healthcare. Our team and our patients are amazing!” She is moderately proficient in medical Spanish.

Dara Som, MD, MPH
Dara Som is an OB/GYN physician. She completed graduate training at the University of California at Berkeley, then later completed her medical degree at the University of Arizona in Tucson. She completed her OB/GYN residency at the University of Tennessee in Nashville. She has been with La Clinica de Familia since 2023. Her favorite part about La Clinica de Familia is the people! She is moderately proficient in medical Spanish.

Maria I. Gonzales, LCSW, IBH Clinical Director
Maria received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from New Mexico State University in 2011. Her training includes counseling services to individuals and families in a variety of settings. In June of 2014, she joined La Clinica de Familia’s team and embarked on the journey of integrating behavioral health services into primary care with the goal to make behavioral health services accessible to the community. She is currently the Integrated Behavioral Health clinical supervisor and provides direct patient care at the OB/GYN clinic. Maria’s goal is to continue to provide safe and compassionate care to patients as well as reducing mental health stigma and increasing patients’ access to behavioral health services.

Alison L Clark, CNM
Alison Clark is a Certified Nurse-Midwife who graduated in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1987 and Columbia University in 1995. She has been with La Clinica de Familia since 2016. She has made New Mexico home after working many places throughout the United States and enjoys bringing diversity to an already diverse culture. Her favorite part about working for La Clinica de Familia is our patients: “We treasure each and every one of our patients and are grateful to be able to participate in the lives of each one to bring healthcare close to home.”

Mona Rae Waugh, CNM
Mona Rae Waugh is a Certified Nurse-Midwife who completed her education at New Mexico State University and the University of Cincinnati. She has been working as a midwife in Las Cruces since 2010 and with La Clinica de Familia since 2018. Her favorite part about working for La Clinica de Familia is providing exceptional care to her patients. A fun fact about Mona Rae is that she is also an entrepreneur in her spare time! She is proficient in medical Spanish.

Morgan Alexander, CNM
Morgan Alexander graduated from Georgetown University as a Certified Nurse-Midwife. She has worked as a nurse in the Emergency Department from 2012-2019 and has been working as a midwife since that time. She has been with La Clinica de Familia since 2022. Her favorite part about La Clinica de Familia is the team environment: “Everyone truly cares about the patients and giving them the best care possible. I am proud to be part of this team.” A fun fact about Morgan is that she loves to travel with her husband and kids in their restored pink camper!

Anna White, CNM
Anna White graduated from the University of New Mexico with a bachelor’s in nursing and then later with a master’s in Nurse Midwifery. She has been working as a nurse midwife since 2016 and with La Clinica de Familia since 2021. Her favorite part about working for La Clinica de Familia is the team of people that she works with: “Everyone cares deeply about our patients and the care we provide. It feels like a close-knit family.” A fun fact about Anna is that she is half Dutch! She also loves spending time outdoors exploring the Southwest, climbing, hiking, and biking. She is proficient in medical Spanish.

Yvette Borde, CNM
Yvette Borde is a New Mexico native. She attended New Mexico State University for her undergraduate degree and then received a Masters in Nursing with a concentration in Midwifery from Texas Tech University. She has been proudly serving as a midwife in Las Cruces since 2009 and joined La Clinica de Familia in January 2024. Her favorite part about working for La Clinica de Familia is the atmosphere. On Yvette’s time off, she likes to dabble in home improvements and remodeling and has a new love for plants.
